Even without a direct street-level endorsement, the overwhelming popularity of the various Croslite designs has influenced major brands including Nike and Puma. And today we can add a company that s right in the middle of those two majors: a German company who also happens to be Nike s biggest competitor. So with the Solar Soft and Injex well in our rear view, it s somewhat surprising that it took this long to see something like the adidas Originals Beachstar. A shotgun-perfed EVA upper hides a comfy neoprene sock that makes these an easy off and on for those activity-filled summer days, and you ll find a variety of vibrant colors available later this month. via EK

Yohj barbie sirena i Yamamoto s Nomad Star midtop made a polarizing splash when we recently ped its unique shroud, but what kind of response can we predict from this more traditional lowtop version? Right off the bat, the shelltoed lowcut look should be more familiar on this new adidas Y-3 Nomad Star Low, though it s far more likely to be connected to the iconic Superstar than any of the forgettable Pro Tip performance lowtops that released over the past few years. And while these won t break necks in quite the same way as the bagged-up midtop, smartly placed lines ensure these subdued colorways will indeed turn heads. Although his Diplomat days are pretty much in the books (save for a few reunion shows here and there), rapper Juelz Santana s outfits still echo a bit of that patriotic flair that was tied u nancy muneca p in the Dipset aesthetic from the get go.
